About CCS
City Center Sofia (or CCS) was the first modern shopping center in Sofia to open in the spring of 2006. Located in the central business district of Sofia, on the busy intersection of Cherni Vrah and Arsenalski Boulevards, the shopping center has more than 23,000 square meter of retail space. It consists of more than 100 stores, restaurants, a supermarket, a cinema with 6 halls, as well as various other services. CCS is visited by more than 6 million people every year and more than 3,500 cars every day.
Luxemburg-based investment fund Heitman European Property Partners Fund III (HEPP III) acquired CCS in 2008, as part of its strategy to further expand investments in Bulgarian real estate market. The fund is managed by the Chicago-based asset management company of Heitman real estate. The CCS management is assigned to AIG/Lincoln which was formed to acquire, develop and manage real estate properties internationally in order to meet the requirements of the extensive worldwide network of AIG Global Real Estate and Lincoln Property Company and their corporate and real estate clients. Initially with a strong focus on the emerging markets of Central & Eastern Europe, it has in the meantime expanded to Western and Southern Europe as well as to Russia and Romania. Currently subsidiaries of AIG/Lincoln are established and successfully active in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, and recently in Bulgaria.
