City Center Sofia is owned by Equest Balkan Properties plc – a company formed to invest in the South East Europe property market with a principal focus on Bulgaria and Romania, and secondarily in the rest of the Target Region.

The Company intends to invest principally in commercial, retail and industrial property, with a view to taking advantage of attractive yields, and potential for capital appreciation. The Company has entered into the Investment Management Agreement with Equest Capital which has entered into an advisory agreement with Equest Partners.

The Company will initially seek to invest in income producing assets in or around Sofia and Bucharest, which present an attractive investment opportunity, believing these markets to: currently offer some of the most attractive investment rental yields in Europe; and provide long term prospects for property price appreciation. The Investment Adviser has identified a number of potential opportunities for the Company which are in line with the Company's investment objectives and has entered into exclusivity agreements in respect of properties with an aggregate proposed ungeared investment value of A197 million.
